About Us – The Team Behind TrueGrip Off-Road

Welcome to TrueGrip Off-Road! We’re a team of three off-road enthusiasts – Andy, Peter, and John – who share a passion for adventure, great trails, and the vehicles that take us there.

We built this community to bring like-minded people together. Whether you’re new to off-roading or a seasoned trail master, this is a place where you can connect, share, and learn from others who “get it.”

Meet the Team

Andy – The Trail Scout

  • Andy is the guy who’s always looking for the next great route. From muddy forest tracks to rocky climbs, he’s explored them all and loves sharing his finds with the community.
  • He manages the Routes and Trail Updates section, keeping everyone in the loop about new trails, conditions, and hidden gems.
  • Fun Fact: Andy once spent a week exploring trails in the Scottish Highlands – and nearly lost his boots in a bog.

Peter – The Gear Guru

  • Peter knows off-road vehicles inside and out. Whether it’s upgrading suspensions, picking the right tires, or troubleshooting winch problems, he’s your go-to guy for gear advice.
  • He keeps the Buy, Sell, and Trade section running smoothly and helps members get the most out of their vehicles and equipment.
  • Fun Fact: Peter has restored three classic 4x4s – all of which still see plenty of mud.

John – The Community Builder

  • John is all about connecting people. He organizes meet-ups, events, and challenges to bring the TrueGrip community together.
  • He also moderates the forums, making sure everyone feels welcome, respected, and heard.
  • Fun Fact: John once organized a 10-vehicle group trip through the Lake District, and not a single vehicle broke down.
Together, we keep TrueGrip Off-Road running as a place where enthusiasts of all levels can share knowledge, stories, and experiences.

Why We Started TrueGrip Off-Road

Off-roading is more than a hobby – it’s about adventure, freedom, and the people you meet along the way. But when we first started, we found it hard to connect with others who shared the same passion.

We built TrueGrip Off-Road to create the kind of community we wanted:

  • A place to share real advice on vehicles, trails, and gear.
  • A space to post trip stories, photos, and videos that inspire others.
  • A hub for finding routes, trail updates, and meet-ups.

Off-roading can be a solo adventure, but it’s better when you have a community to lean on.

What Makes TrueGrip Special?

  1. A Welcoming Space: Our forums are open to everyone, from beginners to pros. No judgment, just support.
  2. Useful Information: From trail tips to gear swaps, we share advice that makes a difference.
  3. Real Connection: We’re not just a forum. We organize meet-ups, events, and challenges to get people together and make memories.

We’re here to celebrate off-roading, the vehicles we love, and the stories we create along the way.
